Zinfandel's First Snow

This morning Zinfandel and Kristi went for a walk in what was Zinfandel's first experience with measurable snow. As predicted, she LOVES the snow. More on the way tonight, so she's going to enjoy the next couple of days very much.

Urgent Care Visit

Lee has been coughing for weeks now and has a hectic travel schedule coming up. So finally he agreed it would be wise to go to Urgent Care on the way to the airport. We were in the waiting area and had no issues. However, as we went to go back into the exam rooms, both duty nurses had issues with Zinfandel going back. One nurse asked if she was a service dog (yes her Puppy in Training Vest was on and visible), so we started to explain the situation. After much discussion, Kristi and Zinfandel decided it would be best for everyone to head back to the waiting area. We are in the process of educating the management of the situation in hopes that no one truly needing to take their service animal back to the exam area with them will encounter this same issue. It's just so sad the lack of education out there in the world.

Running Errands

Yesterday, Kristi and Zinfandel ran a whole bunch of errands and went to a business lunch. Zinfandel is such a trooper and did very well including sleeping under the table at lunch with no one really knowing she was under the table. YAY! However, Zinfandel is definitely in her fear period. We went through the car wash and she wasn't to keen on it at first. With a few pieces of kibble and lots of "What a good girl" from Kristi she was ok by the end of it. But we will probably need to test it out again.

Fall Outing

There is a debate in our household about the best place for fall, Colorado or Minnesota. We were in MN during the peak colors and decided it would be a good outing for Zinfandel. We also wanted to post some photos for Sarah of Operation Puppy Raiser, since she is missing her WI fall.

Chardonnay is Back Home

Chardonnay is back with Steve and Brian! We miss her, but look forward to her next visit in December.
